I talk to God about you,
Yet I have no idea who you are
And although I haven’t met you yet, I already know you’re different
I know we share the same amount of passion in our bodies
I know we understand each other
I already love you so much that I’m exercising patience to the highest degree
I talk to God about you
Knowing He designed you specifically for me and only me
I know you’re somewhere out there wondering what it would be like to be with someone like me
I know you’re somewhere getting your life together
But rest assured, I see the light in your darkness
And I already accept your flaws as they were mine
I know you’re out there living each day with a hopeful heart
So I talk to God about you…
Knowing that one day you’ll find me
And you will choose me. Each day. And if you had to, you would pick me all over again. Without a doubt
And I am already so proud to have you
Although I haven’t met you yet
I know we’ll be each other’s back bone
I can feel it in my soul
How much you will adorn me
How supportive you will be of me
How I’ll never have to question your loyalty
I talk to God about you
Because I confide in Him and pray
So that when you come along, I have the strength to let my guards down
& the ability to love you the correct way
And until then, I’m going to keep myself together… Until I find myself in you.
